NNPS - NNEF Golf Classic 2026

The NNPS/NNEF Golf Classic will provide Newport News Public Schools' (NNPS) leaders, Newport News Education Foundation (NNEF) members, civic and business leaders, and members of NNPS high school golf teams an engaging and entertaining day at the Kiln Creek Golf Club and Resort. This fun-filled event supports NNPS and NNEF initiatives including:

• Salute to Success, an annual celebration of high school student success in academic, career-preparedness and civic leadership. 

• Wayne D. Lett Scholarship, a merit-based award given to an NNPS senior who commits to teaching in Newport News Public Schools. The scholarship program is administered by the Foundation in tribute to Wayne D. Lett, Ed.D., a former superintendent.

• Teacher Innovation Mini-Grants Program, a partnership with the National Council of Jewish Women, that offers grants to educators with original and innovative projects designed to enrich the educational experience and improve learning outcomes in the classroom. 

 The morning activities will conclude with an awards luncheon.
